Self-Esteem & Self-Criticism Issues

Let’s Help nurture your relationship to your true-self

Many of us struggle with a persistant inner-critic who significantly influences how we feel and think about ourselves. There may be many reasons we have internalized a critic over time. Part of the therapeutic process is in understanding what has influenced this internalization and how to find your way back to your inner-voice. Part of the process may be in developing or strengthening an inner-voice separate from your inner-critic.

Many people seek therapy due to chronic feelings of low self-esteem and low self-image, compounded with a pervasive sense of “not being good enough” based on external comparison. These feelings can be deeply rooted within us, and oftentimes related to other struggles such as anxiety, depression, or the effects of trauma. Over time, in therapy, we get to discover your sense of self in a way that may have not been felt or believed in before, or for a while. Part of the therapeutic process is in gradually integrating a new and true way of seeing and feeling yourself, through developing self-compassion and expansive understanding.
